Classic Saltwater #33- Bay Tern

BAY TERN- Hook- 3/0 seaguard; Thread- White; Tail - White fish hair, pink pearl flashabou ; Body - Braided Silver tinsel ( I used silver mylar tinsel); Wing - White Fish hair, pink pearl flashabou , and Pale green fish hair; Beard- Red Kip Tail ( I used Calf ). ...History- Originated by Bob Nauheim, Bob has written that these are his favorite striper flies and are modeled after the Gibbs Striper fly. He started this because there were no west coast striper flies in the early 1960's and this and the other “tern “ flies are the only striper flies he uses.
