I use the foam-lined boxes with a few mods, as the compartment boxes have proven more "reliable" to lose flies when the wind blows around here (which it nearly always does).

I actually made my own boxes up and meant to post them, but never did. They feature a material that shows no visible wear from having hooks popped in and out, are self-draining, and are relatively durable. I made these up for saltwater use, but I'm sure they would be at home on the streams and rivers.
