Geoff they were probably Kings. Due to our lack of water and warm temps the fall run is a few weeks behind schedule. Fished the Salmon River And the Oswego last sat. The Salmon was low even after last weeks rain and they arent releasing any water from the dam due to the drought conditions. Not many fish moving and those that were were spooked due to extreme fishing pressure ie lifters and rippers. The Oswego had a lot of water and a good number of fish nearly all salmon and all fresh fish. The moron factor was high due to the warm weather. The browns and steelies should be in in a few weeks and the crowds will thin out as well. Late Oct and Nov are very good for both browns and steelies.
