Sounds like a spanker Ryan. I've caught May fish on Columbia tribs and June fish on the OP but I guess I never hit the westside in May even when out fishing the May chinook / halibut season in Sekiu.

I have scoped the Quilleyute for fly water from shore access and found a couple marginal spots but didn't find anything that looked like holding water from where I could get to, I'm sure the view from a boat is different.

Maybe LaPush is the place to start a new frontier for steelhead on the bug rod. I've always thought so, but have never had the kind of time I needed to hang out there and fish when I stop by.

After years of coastal flyfishing chasing stripers, I see LaPush and see one of the best looking salter steel and salmon spots anywhere on the map on the right flood tide at the head of a migration period.

Another is the mouth of the Lyre, not to mention the lower lower Hoh, or the first pool on the Elwha at tidewater.
