Introducrion of MYself

I am a rookie to the two hander. I've been fishing for almost 50 yrs. and have enjoyed every minute of it. I lost my fishing buddie father 15 yrs. ago and its been hard to go back to some of the streams we fished together. I was introduced to the big rainbows at 12 yrs. of age in Watkins Glenn, NY. when my dad let me bag school and join a bunch of dentists that took an annual trip to fish Cathrine's Creek. We fished fly rods with single action reels and straight monofilament. Roe was not kosher so I had spent days cutting sponge balls. Short line drifts produced rainbows up to 12#. When I got out of school and started making some money it was my turn to repay dad for his investment by taking him on the fishing trips. We fished chasing the rainbows in Michigan on the Little Manistee, the Salmon River in NY., and the Willouby River in Vt. I cherrished these trips, and we looked forward to them from year to year.
Since I lost my buddie, I've changed to more Fly Fishing. I've fished Alaska Wild Steelhead six times and the Lower Dean last June. The two hander and this board have added a new dimention to my persuit of the wild fish. I'm going to be at the Spey Clave in Medford, to meet some of you and learn to use this new tool with more proficiency. I know that I will then have more fun in Ak the end of April.
