Spring Native Clave
From a recent conversation w/ Andre, things are looking up! He landed a fresh 35" native on the sky the other day (before work!). I am totally pumped.
I can guess that what I can expect this time 'round will be fairly good timing on the runs and hopefully there will be a lowering of the rivers after a sizable flow increase from the rain.
Oly rivers should be holding fish, and with the appearance of fish in the Snohomish system I hope the Skagit system will follow suit. I'd love nothing more than to meet up with a Sauk river giant!
Since a clave is a significant gathering relative to the fishery style with overnight commitment - I guess this *is* a clave by our (ad hoc) definition. In this case the fishery is steelhead so 4 (anyone else?) is a healthy group, and this outing will involve a flight, several nights and a big romp around native steelhead country.
I can't tell you guys how much I am looking forward to this!
