Wow! Great history, thanks. I will give it a try one of these days. I had a business trip to Muskegon (Shaw Walker) one October and was itchin' to try some fishin'. Got to see the big lake though - very impressive seeing a lake where the other side isn't visible. I walked out onto a big breakwater, fish everywhere - mostly yellow perch and baitfish. Guys fishing were telling me that in the fall the salmon are caught with spoons from the jetty. I drove over the Muskegon but didn't have a chance to stop before high-tailing to catch my flight at Cedar Rapids. Should've stayed the weekend!
