As it would turn out, this was my day for big numbers. I ended up hooking over a dozen bones by every way possible - those running across open flats, tailers, singles, sand bars, grass, it was a day at the bonefish academy.
This bad boy kicked my ass! He looks so calm now, don't believe it he deserves an academy award for this act.
What a great day. Even though my feet were bandaged up from various cuts and blisters the walk was well worth it. Time was running out so I headed back to see what the other two birds of prey were up to
Shoals of bones! There were hundreds of bonefish in this area, making nervous water like you see in the foreground.
Walt had a banner day. As Tom and I walked by Walt motioned us over to join in the fracas. That fish magnet had found shoals of bonefish working around up in a creek things got crazy for a while.
Tom was on fire!
Walt puts the icing on the cake with this last fish of a great day...
