Just saw these posts today.... borrowing a computer. I will down in Chatham for another two weeks and will be doing some short runs to BC and Regal sword for Bluefin..will post a rip trip matter. Sean... the water temperature was about 75 degrees and as we entered the canyon the temps rose fron 62 to 75 in just 5 to seven miles, Don't forget the fly rods and don't hesitate to troll them withing the spreader rigs and you might be in for a surprise....Also, ask the Captain to do a couple runs very close to the high flyers and don't be surprised with some nice flyrod Mahi's. Blind casting to the only structure out there came as a real surprise and hope this info helps others who just think you need to see rising fish to take out that fly rod. Also My neighbors are consistantly hitting Bluefins close to home some even just five miles off shore off Chatham.
