Cool Crappie & baby largemouth blitz

After work tonight I went to a local reservoir and found some good action with crappies and baby largemouths in the outflow of a culvert that runs under a causeway. The fish were splashing and slashing on the surface (and at my flies ) just like hickory shad or schoolie stripers chasing baitfish. I couldn't see what they were after but they were aggressively feeding on something. I got multiple swipes at the fly on some retrieves, which was just as much fun as actually hooking a fish. I tried sinking/drifting the flies a little deeper for some larger fish but still didn't hook up with anything over 10".
