How much fly fishing experience do you have? How much freshwater river/stream experience?

For streams that small, an 9 foot rod is really too long. I'd go for an 8 or 8.5 at the longest. As for a the rod weight, I'd stick to a 4 rather than a 5. You'll get better feel for the small fish you'll get out of waters that small. What fish species are you going to be targeting in those streams? Are you planning on doing pond/lake fishing with the same outfit?
