May, good time of year. Can generally expect least wind and minimal rain. Can be very good tarpon fishing with bones as an "aside." That is, most of the guides look to do tarpon. Bones only when the fishing is bad or the fisherman has trouble doing tarpon. Best guide, who's probably booked up for the year, is Nestor Gomez. One thing I must say is that those tarpon flats out back are beautiful. If the weather is good and the tarpon are around, you should have one hell of a trip.
