RE:Prospecting for new spots (Nahant)

I spent some time fishing there as a kid while visiting friends of my dad's. The host was the doctor who fixed Tony Conigliaro's eye (anyone remember?)... nice place he had.

Anyway, when I got my 71 chevelle I went back and fished the causeway. Blues would run the bait right into the shoreline by that pub on the north facing edge. Did very well.

My friend Ed Griffin fishes there regularly at night, last time I heard he landed a 40" on an american black eel "fly". He does also love to flyfish. I'll ask him about his knowledge of Nahant and it's current potential as a flyfishing spot.

Even without asking, the area is a natural fish magnet and the structure is everywhere. When the bait is around it's sure to be a winner. The issue is access due to it's exclusiveness as a convenient locale for well-to-do Bostonians. I'd take any opportunity to fish from Nahant shores during season that I could get.

Let me know if you ever need a research assistant.
