If you do end up getting just one rod to try and cover everything that you've mentioned, I'd go for an eight weight. It can cast largemouth flies well, and has enough backbone for small to medium stripers and blues.

But I agree with the advice above. Try to get a rod that will suit what you'll primarily be fishing for.
