When the water is warm, morning and evening are the times to fish. Cloudy days are also much better producers. Fish near lily pads and weed beds where the fish will be holed up. Fish slow. If you're fishing a popper, let it sit for at least a 5 count after it hits, and let it sit still for long pauses during your retrieve. Bass are ambush predators.
My passion for catching fish is eclipsed only by the fish's passion not to be caught.
