for igfa, your total length for the bite must be 12" (or what ever, look it up). The bimini is used to make 100% knots at both ends of the class tippet. Biminis tend to be big loops. Go loop to loop on you butt (5' or so), and a huffnagle or some sort albright to the bite.
For non igfa, I would use a two or three foot bite tippet so that the mate has an easier time leadering the fish.
