Hey new2.
Congrats on your first ever Salmon! The first is always the most special,, not necessarily the most exciting(there may be bigger and stronger to come)
Not really too hard to tell how excited you were, thats pretty obvious. The cool part is that each fish after still gives the same excitement,,, it never gets"oh gee, ho hum,,, another salmon" Every one that takes a fly is a heart stopper!!!
Nice to see young guys starting up,,, if you ever get over to the Island(PEI), look me up and we may get a day out together.
I just have to ask,,, what happened his nose??? I am guessing the barb was intact and it was a tough time removing the hook? That amount of blood loss in the warm summer months probably means a dead fish. Colder spring water maybe 50/50. lets hope. Still, glad you are amongst us young man.
