IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW YOU ARE FISHING IT. IF YOU ARE OVER A GRASS FLAT AND YOU ARE USING A FAST TWITCHING RETRIEVE LIKE A SHRIMP MOVES WHEN IT IS FLEEING FROM A PREDITOR, THEN THE MOVEMENT IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT AND THE FISH DOSN'T HAVE TIME TO INSPECT THE FLY LONG ENOUGH TO SEE IF YOU INCLUDED ANTENNAE OR NOT. IF YOU ARE FISHING OFF THE BEACH OR A SAND BOTTOM AND ARE ALLOWING THE FLY TO PAUSE ON THE BOTTOM WITH A SLOW RETRIEVE THEN INCLUDE THE ANTENNAE SINCE THE FISH HAS MORE TIME TO INSPECT THE OFFERING. THE BEST MATERIALS FOR ANTENNAE IS KRYSTAL FLASH. IT PROVIDES GREAT MOVEMENT AND WONT BREAK OFF AFTER A STRIKE LIKE A LOT OF HAIR ANTENNAE WILL.
