I was in Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway the second week of Sept last year and the salmon fishing was slow in general, with the big run apparently over. Ketchikan creek was full of carcasses and the locals were fishing for rainbows. Juneau fleets were targeting halibut. I am definitely not in the know when it comes to Alaska's fisheries, just happened to be there and was snooping about as best I could (as any fisherman would be when on a non fishing trip in fishing paradise). Are you timing your trip through a lodge or guide service?
Life is but a walking shadow. A poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot. Full of sound and fury!! Signifying nothing. May as well go fishing!
