Its doubtful to get them on a fly in the basin. Most of the area around the basin has a high bank, many bushes and you dont want to get caught wading there. When they move into the channel at the mouth of the river it will be possible to get them on the fly. I did not see them in the channel yesterday, but that area did have 18-24" of water so they may be there.

The other possibility is the Thomas basin which is 5 minutes away.
