If you look at posted signs near the Pond In the River and make reference to Fishing Regulations for Pond in the river(Rapid River) there is no bag limit on Bass...... As far as suckers go, you will find that they are the a natural occurence in almost all maine trout rivers. The suckers serve a natural vacuum cleaner helping to keep the river clean. Furthermore, when the suckers spawn in the river, trout fishing can liven up with egg patterns. So in answer to the Rapid specifically, no need to kill Suckers, they don't pose the threat of immediete competition to Brookies. SMB on the otherhand will always out compete the Native Brookies. Everyone out there has the compasity to make their own decisions. May the force be with you.
