Spent a beautiful afternoon on the West Branch of the Delaware near Deposit yesterday.
Just downstream of Deposit (That's route 17)
The sun was shining, my Dad was with me, the temp was just right, a good number of caddis in the air but minimal surface activity. All the same I spent my time trying to bring the fish to the surface and only managed two one about 9" on a 16 caddis and one about 14" on a 16 ant (it was a beautiful sipping rise in clear calm water in the lee of an island).
That's where I got #2
And here he is going home
My Dad added a bit of entertainment to the day by taking a graceful dunking. It looked like he just stepped into a hole - one second he was there the next all you could see was his hat.
