RE:Maine trout and/or salters?
The Mousam holds a decent population of sea run browns, as does the ogunquit a little further south. Freshwater opportunities in the immediate Saco area are pretty limited.
If you decide to go after the salters sand eels have been working well as have shrimp patterns. The best fishing is usually right at the head of the tide where the fresh and saltwater mix. In the mousam this seems to be just a bit below rte 1. I don't know about the ogunquit, as i don't usually fish there. Both rivers have recently been stocked with mostly 12-14" fish but a few monster broodstock were reportedly put in as well.
Another good resource would be eldrege brothers flyshop in cape neddick, i'll see if i can find a number and post it later... I just found a website: http://www.eldredgeflyshop.com/
