Phone calls needed next Tuesday, May 25!
Dear River Advocates,
Join your fellow paddlers, anglers, advocates, and river enthusiasts in delivering the message of river conservation to Congress next Tuesday, May 25!
On Tuesday, May 25, American Rivers is hosting River Lobby Day to bring together river activists from across the nation to meet face-to-face with Congressional staff in Washington, D.C. and deliver a common message about the need to protect and restore rivers in our communities.
Even if you cannot join us for River Lobby Day in Washington, D.C., you can participate in this event simply by using your telephone on Tuesday, May 25.
At the same time that more than 70 river advocates from across the country are walking the halls of Congress, we hope to generate a steady stream of phone calls from river advocates like you to your members of Congress. This combination of in-person meetings and phone calls will demonstrate to Congress how much Americans care about healthy rivers and clean water in our communities.
You can help make this event a success. Help flood the phones of our Senators and Representatives on Tuesday, May 25, with the same message of river conservation that your fellow river enthusiasts will be delivering in-person on Capitol Hill.
Save the date and stay tuned for details: next Tuesday we will send you talking points and phone numbers for the offices of your Senators and Representative to make taking action easier than ever before!
Thank you for your support.
President, American Rivers
