From a recent first time bonefishermans perspective I would say that exact imitation is not important at all. Movement was the key in my humble opinion in every fly I had sucess with. I also think that you have to address each species separately as they feed in different ways and I don't have any experience with the others you mentioned. In my experience a Striper will often give a fly the third degree before eating it whereas the bones made a quick decision and either gave the fly a taste or zoomed off into another zipcode.
