RE:Ice Fishing Tournament

Sully -

How do you chip out a hole long enough to get a decent cast? Do trout rise well in subzero winds? What pattern do you use? [img]http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I guess a fly guy would have to be pretty hard up to try his way of angling in this weather. But fishin' is fishin', they say.

For me tying is fishin', and building camaraderie is fishin' and sipping a glass of Balvenie (thanks Pete!) is fishin' in it's own way. As long as I am visualizing the sweet smell of cottonwood buds in the Skagit River valley, or the pungent tang of low tide on a Brewster Flat while I sip, it's fishin.

Unfortunately, and meaning no disrespect to my good friend Sully (who burned the midnight oil with me last night trying to understand the network problems) - ice fishin' aint' fishin' to me... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! <img src="http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif[/img]
