Late-Summer bluegills

Well, summer is on the down slide. As we head into autumn, the warm-water fish gear up for the cooler days ahead.
There are some huge, sassy bluegills this time of year. After a full summer of feeding, we now have some monster gills to fish for... GILLZILLA }>
I find the larger; foam-body flies work best in my area, North East Ohio...
Try a hopper pattern too, terrestrials are the way to go in the late summer/early fall.
My favorite terrestrials are:
1) Letort cricket
2) Dave's hopper
3) Ant patterns
4) Foam beetles
I purposely go bluegill fishing in private ponds for the sole purpose of catching large amounts of fish.
Large fish are great, but bluegills take me back to my childhood.
To a more innocent time in my life, learning how to fish from my dad.
