Convenience of an inflatable

I live in a New York apartment, which is the equivalent of a sardine can in terms of what most people are used to in a living space. I'm interested in some sort of inflatable water craft for the upcoming season, mainly for lakes and larger rivers such as the Delaware. What I'm concerned with is the convenience of the whole thing; specifically, can the craft be deflated and re-inflated quickly, and what the space required for storage would be. I realize that this is a very subjective as the size of the craft will have some effect on the answers, but I'm just looking for some general information before I spend a significant amount of time researching the subject. Of course, what I'd love is something that inflates with the pull of a cord and deflates relatively quickly by opening a valve or two. Any responses will be greatly appreciated!
