Checked Black & White beaches on way to work this morning. Saw my first surface activity of fall.

Hopefully things will start heating up.

Shad Manchester Harbor Last Night.

Fished 9 PM - 10 PM behind the Chowder House. Brought in 5 Shad on silver/white clouser.

Essex River Last Night

Drifted down the inner part of river last night with dog and boat.

Quickly pulled in 3 small blues before the thunder and lightning started. No stripers.

That is a good idea.

I was thinking that my holders were tapered, but I checked them and they are not. The stainless tubes have a pvc insert in them.

I would have to use a pretty small...

Modify Rod Holders?

The CC that I just purchase has this rod rack on the transom. It seems that the rod holders only hold spinning rods.

Does anyone know if you can modify these or do anything to get them to hold...

Shouldn't we still be able to catch....

It seems like the bass are all but gone on Cape Ann, but shouldn't we still be able to catch Pollak, Mackerel or Shad? I still see bait in the water.

I catch Pollak & Shad in the early Spring...

Tx. I have looked at Easterns but

the one I saw did not have much room to cast.

The bristol skiff is small, but it has a large platform in the stern. Haven't seen the inside of the Stagepoint yet, but I sure like the exterior...

Fished the outgoing on Wingaersheek on Saturday night about 7:00 until dark.

Had no luck on the beach side of the bar, but caught several 20 - 23" fish on the river side using sand eel patterns. ...
