Abel ATC

Abel's ATC is still made its just marketed by someone else. I own one and its the most versatile craft I've owned. I've had a drift boat, pram, pontoon, canoe, etc. This thing is by far the best....

Light Line

Thanks for replying Charlie. Using light line is an ethical concern, but is not limited to float fishermen.

Nice flies BTW.

hooks

Inland... Which hook is it that you don't care for, and why? I've found the AJ Spey hooks to be too bendy. I've lost 1 fish myself and seen 2 others lost because of a straightened AJ spey. ...

Snobby

Juro, I hope I did not imply that I thought this site was snobby. I don't believe that at all. This site is great. I just thought that the comment made, in the context it was made, sounded snobby...

I was talking about two separate issues...

Issue 1 -- Stating "this is a fly fishing forum" in response to someone that posted "I'm not a fly fisherman" could be construed by a normal and...

I know

I know it is a fly fishing forum. I now also know it is sometimes a snobby fly fishing forum.

Chrome King's posts that you reference give a very consistent message. Skamanias are fun and tasty. ...

I do not know of a way to tell the difference while in the box. Out of the box, I believe you can see the difference. Since these have been around for over a year (I believe), you could probably be...

Rio's new floating tip

FWIW -- This year Rio changed the tip of the floating tip to have better turnover at shorter distances. I believe this was done to be more like the Airflo. I like it so far, but haven't fished...

You're right

MJYP is right. Especially after you factor in the cost of the different sizes of polyleaders. The windcutter with tips is a great line. So are the airflo counterparts -- though I haven't fished...

Thief!

Great. Danny the thief is back! Hows about posting less crap about surf fishing and instead repaying the money you owe this board?

fouling

Kush,

If I'm reading correctly, you then have a free swinging tail and a free swinging hook on an inch or three of mono to keep the hook near the tip of the tail. What keeps the hook from fouling...

I just went through the anal retentive process of evaluating boats before I bought one. The selection process goes like this...

Glass, Aluminum, or Wood -- Wood is too high maintenance for most...
