there are the "good rods" what sage makes, and there are some "legendary" rods...the RPL, LL, SP, SPplus, and (IMHO) now the TCR, are in the second category.

-go for it! it is a collectors item...

I think, it has best of the two worlds: lightness, light tip, but very powerful.
It fits perfectly to what you are looking for....

(Horizon, Vector, Helix, LPS)

...but I would go for the Horizon 9' 5wt. :wink:
