It may be cheaper for me being on the West Coast....

It may be cheaper for me being on the West Coast. Try and fly into San Jose Costa Rica, there is a layover and then fly on down to Santiago. If you can find "Student fairs" it is less than $800.

I have a chance to go down to the Futalafu river in Chile for just the air fair. Has anyone been down there and knows what flies to take.

The Maui Jim's were the latest titanium frames with grey lens. Absolutely light as a feather and crystal clear. I only wish they made them in bi-focal. Oh by the way, they do carry MJ's lifetime...

FYI, I bought a pair of Maui Jim's Wailea for $ 152 on e-bay, but I got lucky. But you can buy most of them for $ 180 and yes they are sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Have you looked @ e-bay yet. www.ebay.com. Search for Scott fly rod. I think there are a couple of Scott 8 &/or 9 weights available.
