#8 and #10 GLX

Great rods, just like the action of a #8 SP a little better and I haven't used the #10 in 4 years. Both rods are 9', 4-piece, bought new in '99/00 and in excellent condition. $400 each.

Living here in Hawaii, it's a catch-n-kill environment. Most everything hooked is followed-up with "that's a good tasting fish". I do have access to some nice skinny water, however the bones that...

I wear my ring 24/7 on the ship but remove it on every fishing outing. I've already lost one ring after a dip in some cold water. Found out that everything shrinks in cold water...EVERYTHING!
I...

Seen this before

I originally saw this in regards to the Texas quarters.
The missing part is that the duck tape that holds the two dimes and nickle keep jamming in the machines.
The quarters' designer was from...

Thumbs up Worth their weight

Bought them in 2000 on-line (a very good deal) and like them enough to recommend them.
I'm 6'1", 195 and wear the Large Long. They are just right for when you have to squat, bend over, crouch.......

Thumbs up Concur

After thumbing through the book for what I thought was 15 minutes, I realized it was more like an hour. I bought the book and Bob was gracious enough to sign it at the show last year. The picture...

Post Dyna-King Kingfisher Vise

Bought this as a travel vise to tuck in my checked luggage.
Pros:
1. Cam locking jaws (just like the Barracuda).
2. Lots of weight on the pedestal base model.
3. Solidly built, good aesthetics....

Do more.

1. Show a woman the artistic value in anything you do and it will help take the edge off of a vice that takes much away from a young family.
2. Take interests in things she does. I have learned too...

Unwelcomed

After putting all three kiddos down for a nap, I felt the need to go fishing, leaving only 8 other things to push on next week-end's schedule.
Conditions were not the best...mid-70's, light...

Since I'm here in Hawaii, there's a plethora of fish in the salt that I could target. Could being the key word.
Last year, of the dozen trips I took wading the flats by the AF Base, I hooked a few...

Paying to Advertise

CASE mentioned this in the Reddington reels thread....he bought a hat that said Reddington.
My personal thought is that if I were to spend ~$500 on a rod or reel, then the company would throw in...

RE:wading boots

I wear Patagonia's Marlwalkers with their SST+ waders. I like the boots although I do notice some (not much) sand intrusion in the shoe. I wear them with the SST+ waders. I don't mind the neoprene...
