Lady Caroline is one of my deepest love affairs... It's interesting to see how the same fly can be tied in different styles. I have worked a lot on my spey the last two winters, and at times have...

The sad fate of the Vosso salmon...

I don't remember if it was Oglesby or Falkus that made the Vosso river in western Norway famous for it's big salmon. These days, however, there is hardly anything left. Hydroelectric power plants,...

Thank you all for kind words! I too like the looks of the Sheriff, and am going to fish it this summer. I ahev made a slight change to the original pattern - the original front hackle is guinea fowl,...

Just some flies...

Seeing all the Green Highlanders and and similar quality flies being posted here, an amateur could be humiliated off posting, but I am going to have another go since earlier feedback has been very...

Akroyd - first attempt

Last winter was devoted to speys, and I got some useful feedback from this board. Now I have begun rampaging the dee style, and attached is a photo of my first Akroyd.

Anyway, I like the look of...

The new RR

I was asked to post a picture of the "new" Rusty RAT I mentioned above - and does so. This is an "original" RR without the pheasant body hackle, and compared to the one above, the hackle is slightly...

Thanks!

Thank you all for the welcome, and for kind words and constructive feedback on the flies! It is much appreciated. I have made a RR implementing the changes that have been suggested; a slightly longer...

New member - new flies 3

And in conclusion this time, I wanted to share this one. It is a fairly standard Rusty Rat, but on larger hooks, I think this fly is bit "empty" (if that makes sense at all), so I added a very...

New member - new flies 2

This second fly is a spey fly that as far as I know is unnamed (that is, I am sure someone has designed similar flies earlier, but I haven't seen those...) I just wanted a spey fly with some kind of...

New member - new flies

I am new to this board; that is, I have been reading for some time but only registered today. I thought I'd start of a bit on the bold side by posting some flies that I have come up with during this...
