Basement humidity

Check out the humidity level down there. Not only bugs, but mold can be a problem in the basement.... A dehumidifier is cheap insurance if necessary.

BTW, Juro, those salmon flies work just fine...

Yes, the gelspun can hurt! On a hard running fish it can cut you like a knife! A little duct tape or similar material strategically placed on your fingers goes a long ways.

This may sound odd, but I have found that I can use a very light weight rod (7' 3 weight, 5 wgt floaying line 6' of 20 lb mono as a leader) and still bring in large fish in very short order fishing...
