i have xp's and have cast the z rods and really like them. the z is very smooth and throws line very well with ease, go out and try one i think you will like them

i Just got one in the store and have cast it a 10' 8wt. and all i can say is wow what a great casting rod. It loads easy and fires line out enough to make you drop your jaw and say did i cast that...

one question is the line a cold water salt line or warm water, if its a cold water line it should work ok ,but if its a warm water line it most likely has a mono core and it will coil up in cold water

i have 3 BG that i fish with in the salt for stripers,bones,permit,cudas and anything else and i have had no problems at all, but with anything that is made by man it will break down thats my 2 cents
