Fall Salmon 02 - Local Fishery Speyday's
Although with football and other obligations I could not make it up north or around the GL as much as I would of liked too, I did do some messing around on the local fishery with the spey rod this fall.
While the majority of the time I used indicator nymphing methods with the spey rod, I did do a little sink tip fishing and had some great expirences with taking fish on bright speys out of aggression. One day I had a pod of jacks all attack my marabou spey chartruese/blue combo and got to watch them as they all fought over the pattern. I was usually on the water by 5am to take advantage of the opportunities.
Well, here is my largest Nookie of the 02' season, taken with my 12'6" 7wt Spey rod on a chartruese egg and 6lb Maxima tippet.
