Dreaming and Schemeing

I jinxed myself last year thinking about this stuff in January. Winter daydream planning was rewarded with fronts passing thru and fishless hikes in sandstorms on the Southbeach flats. But I can't help myself.

May 17, 14' bayside tides, -1.9' low.
June15, 13.6' and -1.6'

Gee Fred....May 17th is Armed Forces Day...will there be a parade from Area 61 to the flatzzz?

I should also mention that June 15th is Father's Day and all the Forum Fathers should have there new fly rod in hand!

Hmmmmm.....

I decided I would take my rod&reel to work in January to both practice my casting(you'd be amazed at how large a beer warehouse can be, as well as the smoothness of the floors) and teach a few co-workers to flycast. The sad part, the leader still had the yarn tied on it from the casting clave. I didn't fish a single day last year and I'd love to change that in '03.

Lets see some more dates so I can add them to my day planner.:D

Fred

I'm already there! I am planning a week on the Cape to coincide with the June 14th full moon - gota do that night-sight-fishing thing this year!

I'm planning on a solid 7 - 10 days of flats and surf-hounding - shore and boat. Some details have yet to be finalized but the plan is conceptually in place.

Those tides will move a lot of water and excite fish - but these will not be good times for adventurous wading!

Don't forget that June 15th is Fathers' Day; Big Brother Day!

We already have a lot of interest from the kids and I for one do not want to let them down.

Big bro day works into the plan perfectly!

I should have two whole week-ends on the cape.

I love big tides for low water structure scouting and full moon nighttime forays. Seven days later (or earlier) the smaller tides should make for some nice flats walking - as long as the sun shines!

Ah yes....I know what you mean. Fred, should I bring two coffees with me on that first day!

Sunrise comes just abit earlier starting at the end of this week!:D
