I don't know, that squid -thing is clearly ugly enough that you shouldn't be hesitant to use some of those glow in the dark nasties I left on your tying table! Try incorporating the skirt into the beastie you've tied up in your photo - it will be very scary indeed!

What with the front that just rolled through, it's starting to feel a bit like migration...and that could mean BHC's (Big Hungry Consumers) to tempt and hopefully take...sure, elephantz like peanutz, but a hampster could be just the ticket.

The pictures of the flies are nice, but I like the camo C-130 better. Great plane worked on them occassionally while in MAC at Dover.

I guess the plane I worked the most on during my 4 year tour though was the C-141 below. Another great lockheed plane like the C-130.

I think I now have pictures of all of the planes I worked on now. Even worked on a C-47 !

Before my untimely demise, I logged about 11'000 hangin' under Lochkeed all metal wings...
While I much preferred the Hercules, I finally evolved into a heavy-metal driver (through no fault of my own)...
That's me standing just left of the ladder on the ramp in Stephenville, NewFoundland...
I managed a few Atlantic Salmon (C&R) on that scam...While "guarding global freedom" and doing my part to support the economy!
Another time/another life...Warped forever, none the less!

Pete,

Cool, picture must be a C-5 ? Brings back memories of very cold, hot and windy flight lines. Dover was getting them when I got out in 1970. Mostly worked on 141s, 124s, 133s, and many other miscellaneous birds. Avionics instrumentation.

Surfed out to the Wright Patterson AFB museum site recently and lo and behold the only F-102 they have is one I worked on in Iceland while in the 57th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. S/N 416 Now I know I am old when probably all of the birds I worked on except the 141s probably are no longer flying.

Check out the link to the intercept of the Russian Bear on the next page. Have my own pictures of these which the pilots got for us. The year I was there 66-67 we had something like 90+ intercepts of russian bombers testing NATO air defenses. Kept me REAL busy.

No time for fishing in Iceland for me, did get to see some of their salmon rivers though. God I can just imagine how good they were in 1977 and I did not have time to take advantage of it!
