NH warmwater- low water and slow action
I had a couple of hours to kill on Sunday morning in NH. For the shorebound or wading angler, things are pretty tough. I decided to leave the trout alone and went to a few of my favorite smallmouth rivers......only four fish (two sunfish, a perch, and a largemouth). The water levels are very low, and surface temps are in the 80s.
I have a feeling that I could have done better if I'd been there earlier in the day, but bed was soooo comfortable.
Next time. :)
I hope if you didn't get any fish this weekend, you at least stayed cool.
Yup it was one scorcher of a weekend, here in Cooperstown. In the 90's all weekend. I hit the river for pan fish and caught a few. Water is real low and the pools are where the fish are at. Now we have cool weather coming in for a few days, but no good rains.
