Hello Folks

Sorry if I'm in the wrong part of the site but just wanted to say hello and looking forward to being a member of what looks like a great resource for all those of us that have been bitten by the bug.

Been obsessive for many years about our sport, in particular Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit but will throw a fly at most things if available and have a rod at hand.

In essence folks, looking forward to joining in and hopefully learning a load of new stuff as well.

Cheers Trifecta. :o

Welcome. You'll see there is a special section for Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit and such, but this is a very appropriate section to introduce yourself.

Things are a little slow right now, but as Fall approaches, you'll see more activity.

Explore the Bonefish et al. section if you haven't already. [Went and looked and saw your post on clear lines for bonefish and Jr. Spey's reply...you're on board!]

Cheers,

Eric

Hi Eric.

Many thanks for the welcome, appreciated.

Being a Brit there aren't that many sites over here that deal with SWFF, there are a few and some very worthy ones but in the main I try and get my 'fix' from US based sites that deal with Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit.

Having said that I will always try and throw a fly at most things that swim and see what happens, anything from Garfish to Marlin, but I must admit the three aforementioned combatanats will always hold pride of place.

Thanks again for the welcome.

While you're in tarpon country, try throwing a few flies at snook. This is also a very exciting target. IMHO, anyway.

Many thanks Eric.

That's one species I would love to cast a fly at, just haven't got round to doing it yet but certainly will.

My species list is no where near complete, too many species, too many locations and so little time, but will eventually get to target a few more and Snook are definitely near the top of my list. :D
