Saturday was boat maintenance and shakedown cruise for 'Double Happiness' and outide of some minor electrical repairs she's ready to rock for the season. Decided that it would be a shame to only launch for one purpose so I headed off Green Harbor with my cod gear. The run to Farnhams Rock was just enough to defog the engine and remind me how cold it can be when the water temps are still only 44*. Although there were decent fish being marked, none decided to interrupt my morning. Back to the barn and home to finsh planting perenials and checking off the honeydo's.
Sunday I hit Back River in Pocasset and upper Little Buttermilk for some lovely wading but still no fight on the end of my flyline.... Might take the Mid-cape to break me out of my slump...
They're coming Bob, hang in there a little bit longer. Warmer weather this week should translate to rising water tempratures.
