Spring Run Clave site is up

Ok I put together a simple site for infomation about the clave. As we decide on things here we can add it there.
Later I can put things like cell numbers, directions, and afterwards: the all important images.

I'm operating on the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid)So it's not going to get too fancy (besides, Al D. already has enough to do)
Sorry to use a commercial site but my usual web server is down for a while.

RE:Spring Run Clave site is up

Nice work! I like the itinerary. I would like to add two secret spots... one on the bayside, one on the south side - but they will be "eyes only" for clavers. (TIC)

Watch - with my luck they will be crowded and bustling like the MTV beach party when I take you guys there! Wet beer belly tee-shirt contest anyone? [img]http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Comments...

Lodging:
Even if my siblings are down the cape that weekend, I will have a place to stay. Let's open a spot right now and I'll stay over at Swan Pond. If the siblings are not around, I can handle two more spots. I'll keep you posted.

Friday:
If we're doing hors d'uerves (sp?) on Friday night let me know, I'll bring something along... maybe some stuffed quahogs from Swan River seafoods or something. Another option is to go hang out at Clancy's bar and let people bring stuff to us... but that could put the dawn patrol on Sat AM at half mast. Were you thinking of getting together at your place then?

Boats:
Will we have enough float power to make 1-2 mile runs on the bayside? If so there are some v-e-r-y good options I can suggest. I might tow down my driftboat which takes two anglers. Is there a boat inventory going?

Strategy:
Although sometimes my clients might not think so, I plan every trip based on possible wind, bait, tide, time of day, etc. The best laid plans... well, let's just say my last name should be "Murphy". Nevertheless, we should lay out a plan based on wind and tide options and react according to what dear Mother Nature throws our way that day. This eliminates confusion and maximizes our success during the magic twilight hours.

I'll see if there's some way to support sign-ups on this site. Al... <img src="http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif[/img]

Sounds good. Boat coordination would be good. Looks like at least 3 so far.
If you set up a sign up area, just send me the link and I'll add it to the my site.

Terry,

You da man! I'm already puppying out just thinking about those 20" bass. Wait....think about that a sec....:)

I may have an inflatable kick boat to bring along. Great for back creeks and estuary fishing. Carries two. Fishes only one. How tricky is the Bass River Beach area??

Juro, I can whip up a down and dirty signup but since we're two months out let's put it on a back burner for now?

BTW, I've seen the prices at Clancy's....how about Chiles on the rotary?

You're right, we don't need a sign up this time so we'll reserve our annual sign-up credits for Boneclave II. http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif I hope Boneclave will be the annual event that spans all sites and BB's to be a megaclave.

In any case, I'm really looking forward to bright fiesty new arrivals and getting out on the water!

Gee Al, I always thought Clancy's was a nice place. You can't beat the location, I even bought a hat there the the last time I had dinner.
Ok, a thirty-pac and a tailgate is more fun, plus we might hear the fish slapping in the back water, if we work it right.

It's still along way off but:
the site has had a lot of new info added. We're getting most of the planning sorted out. We should resolve the lodging section by early April so people can plan. And please, let's hear ideas. It's your Clave. Can't wait!
