Isla Los Roques ?

Has anyone been to Isla Los Roques? What a beautiful looking island. I google earth it as I do many places on my quest for the best islands in the world to visit when we get the new sail boat. What flats to fish too.
Thanks
Steve

So Steve, have you locked in on the timing for your crossing to the carribean? I would imagine you'll want to be ahead of hurricane season. Or will you poke around europe for awhile then take the "plunge" in the late fall?

Hi Fred,
We will pick up the boat in France in June 2013 , do sea trials and complete outfitting boat. Sail Europe for the summer and move south in fall. Hope to be in the Verdes by late October and wait for the hurricane season to end in November. We then will make the crossing to the carib, don't know any of that yet. I just google earth every where I might want to go, harbors, rivers, canals you name it I have been there by internet. Los Roques looks unreal and I think we will head to the Panama Canal on the southern route. Not the safest route but still OK if your careful.
