fly rod holder-help
i was fishing in florida last month and the guide had a very simple and effective fly rod holder that i'm trying to duplicate. he simply attached 9', 1 /1/2", thin wall pvc to the underside of his T-top and slid the tubes inside. the reels were secured with a strap. i like the simple system because it maximizes space, keeps the rods and holders free from getting caught up in my line when i'm casting, and stores with good protection. he got the pvc at home depot. unfortunately home depot does not sell that thin wall pvc in 1 1/2" in new england. i've not been able to find it anywhere. any suggestions on a similarly simple and effective system or where to find the 1 1/2" thin wall would be most appreciated. thanks, neal
You might look in the electrical section rather than the plumbing area. I'm not sure but the gray conduit may be thinner than the plumbing lines.
