Alaska Rubber Egg Cluster

Not sure how I feel about this one, seems like cheating...but as long as it catches fish I don't care. Tied specifically for a location where pink salmon swim in a big circle and wait for the tide to come up and then continue up stream...Silvers and Steelhead circle underneath and catch the falling eggs...

I used to tie something very similar using hot glue for the egg.
Always looked like it should work but never had much success.
I think the hot glue is more buoyant than ther materials that and the marabou
always kept it up to high in the water column. ALthouhg I was always fishing moving water, and maybe your situation is different. Looks good though, should work if you can get it down to the fish.

That's a gooey bob (a rubbery version of the ol' okie drifter) for those who aren't familiar with steelhead drift gear.

Please resist any temptations that you might have and don't post any photos of spin-n-glo versions. We really ought to keep this site suitable for a family audience.
