Next week - looking good
Maybe I am just a gullible fool but I think I might be in Sekiu Monday morning for the tide change throwing a line into the deep aqua waters of hooknose country. If the aviation Gods are with me I will get my wish.
If anyone can manage a day or two off, Doublespey and I will be starting out on the saltchuck and then moving to steelhead rivers toward the following weekend.
Look forward to hooking up with you if it happens!
I hope all goes well as everyday we see silvers brought in over 12 pounds. I have also weighed some 15's, a 17 and a 18 and last week a the new state saltwarer record at Sekiu was broken at a 22 pounds.
I hope that my job will allow me to join you!!
I've topped 16 several times in Washington and BC, I've seen an 18 before hanging on the old Olsen's scale - but 22!
I'm sure there will be a few 50 pound kings showing up lately too when you factor in Westport, Willapa, etc.
And the steelhead count is out of control on the Columbia!
I CAN'T WAIT!!
