A Pink Bonanza
This is a heavy run year for Pink Salmon in the southern waters [BC coast] The Pink is the smallest of the Pacific Salmon runing from 4 to 10 Lbs and only living for two years.
Fished off the beach on an arm of Burrard Inlett [Vancouver Harbour] called Indian Arm. Sat. landed and realeased 6 fish and Monday 4 fish landed 3 released and one for the Barby. All fish were in the 6 to 8 Lb range.
The Coho,s have yet to show in large #'s for the beach fisherey but the will be here.
Thanks for the update! I used to like ocean-bright pinks smoked with applewood after a brown sugar and salt (secret spice) brine... delicious!
