flyfishing cape cod canal

If you ever thought about flyfishing the canal now would be the perfect time to give it a try,the juvi herring are flushing out of the herring runs and the bass are on them, fishing can be tough and they do get selective, there are at times blitz type action maybe not as torrid as a fall bunker mauling but enough to get your bp ( blood pressure)up.The action can be as close as at your feet to further than you can cast a 2hander.I was at my favorite spot this morning with the spey rod and connected with some mid to upper 30 in. stripes:hihi: ,basicly just roll casting 60-70 ft into the hot zone. Its a short time period when they are available before they flush out to sea.:hihi:
