This is another Marc LeBlanc fly, developed for fishing on the Cascapedia, Petite Cascapedia, and Bonaventure Rivers. Although this fly can be a bit tedious to tie, it holds a good reputation as a low water fly on the Gaspe.

Tail: Dyed red golden pheasant.
Butt: Black ostrich herl
Rib: Red oval tinsel over silver portion of body and silver twist over red portion of body.

Hackle: Long gray heron type hackle over front portion of the body.
Coller: Grouse body feather
Wing: Grouse wing quill segment.
Cheeks: Jungle cock
Head: Red

His flies are so well put together and composed that I consider them to be the equivalent of the old masters classic dee and spey style flies. His use of grouse wing and body feathers lend a very subtle and attractive contrast. And as usual, your rendition of the fly is excellent. I wish the thank you for sharing LaBlonc's flies with us. They ought to be equally effective on summer steelhead here in the PNW.
